MA - Clinic Setting

$22 – $37 per hour

Position Summary:

The Medical Assistant (MA) will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and administrative support in our clinic. The MA will work closely with healthcare providers and other staff members to ensure efficient clinic operations and patient satisfaction. This role requires a compassionate individual who is dedicated to improving the health and well-being of patients.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of a certified Medical Assistant program
  • Current certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)
  • CPR certification
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a clinical setting preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures

Job Duties:

  • Greet and check-in patients, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed
  • Take and record vital signs, medical history, and other relevant information
  • Assist healthcare providers during patient examinations and procedures
  • Administer medications and injections as directed by healthcare providers
  • Perform basic laboratory tests and prepare specimens for external lab testing
  • Schedule patient appointments and follow-up visits
  • Maintain and organize medical supplies and equipment
  • Ensure exam rooms are clean, stocked, and ready for patient use
  • Educate patients on health topics, medication instructions, and self-care techniques
  • Handle patient inquiries and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Perform administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and managing patient records
