Position Summary:

As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), you will play a vital role in providing quality care to
patients. You will work closely with the nursing staff to ensure the well-being of patients and
assist with various medical procedures. This position requires a compassionate individual who
is dedicated to helping others.


Please note that this position may involve working in a fast-paced environment and may require
lifting or assisting patients with mobility. Prior experience as a Nursing Assistant or similar role is
preferred. You will adapt to all facility settings and build positive relationships with your patients;
facility care staff and physicians.

You will execute a variety of patient care activities and related services required to care for the
personal needs and comfort of your patients. This position is accountable to the Nursing Unit
Director for providing treatment to a group of patients in collaboration with and under the
supervision of a Registered Nurse.

Requirements:

  • Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant by the Washington State Nursing Commission.
  • Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support certification.
  • Completion of an accredited Nursing Assistant Program.
  • Six-twelve months related work experience is greatly preferred.
  • Essential computer literacy required.
  • Must be able to meet the job description’s requirements and have a solid attendance record.

Job Duties:

  • Assisting patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and eating
  • Taking vital signs and recording patient information
  • Assisting with medical procedures such as catheter care and wound dressing
  • Monitoring patients and reporting any changes in their condition to the nursing staff
  • Providing emotional support to patients and their families
  • Maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients

Skills:

  • Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
  • Experience in ICU or other critical care settings
  • Ability to operate medical equipment such as ventilators and dialysis machines
  • Proficiency in eClinicalWorks or similar electronic health record systems
  • Basic life support (BLS) certification
  • Experience with IV infusion and medication administration
  • Ability to suture wounds (if applicable)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
