RN - Emergency Room

$44 – $75 per hour

Position Summary:

Consistently collaborating with other members of the healthcare team, the RN provides expert

nursing care while assessing, planning, and treating patients and their families. The nurse

implements the hospital’s philosophy and standards to advance the physical, spiritual, and

emotional health of patients.

The timely completion of all electronic charting, paperwork, and direct care is ensured,

alongside the maintenance of accurate and comprehensive documentation of nursing services.

The compassionate, knowledgeable, and skillful care provided by the RN is advantageous for

patients and their families. This individual acts as the patient’s advocate.

In addition to making sound decisions, the RN is accountable for administering medications and

treatments as prescribed by physicians and other medical professionals. This requires the use

of independent judgment. It is anticipated that the Registered Nurse will exhibit proficiency in the

following domains: judgment, decision-making, execution of nursing interventions, delegation of

duties or obligations, and dispensation of prescribed medications and treatments.

Requirements:

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Washington and in good standing
  • Previous Emergency Room experience or Critical Care experience within the last 2 years
    preferred
  • Proficient in ventilating patients and providing respiratory support
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology
  • Familiarity with medical office procedures and diagnostic evaluations
  • Ability to suture wounds and perform minor procedures as needed
  • Experience with esthetic laser treatments is a plus
  • Knowledge of ophthalmology procedures is preferred
  • Current BLS Certification from the American Heart Association
  • Experience working in an ICU environment is beneficial

Job Duties:​

  • Deliver personalized and explicit nursing assistance to individuals and their families within the emergency room setting.
  • Informs the patient and the patient’s family of results, findings, and diagnoses in accordance with the scope of practice.
  • Assess, strategize, execute, and appraise patient care plans
  • Conduct triage assessments to prioritize the requirements of patients according to their level of acuity.
  • Physician-prescribed medications and treatments should be administered.
  • Assess and record the vital signs of patients as well as their reactions to interventions.
  • Interdisciplinary healthcare team members should collaborate in order to guarantee comprehensive patient care.
  • Provide patients and their families with information regarding disease mechanisms, treatment strategies, and self-care methodologies.
  • Ensure the maintenance of precise and current medical records.
